A VERY good economy Inexpensive ... Great food Great staff
At 17 degrees Celsius in the garden restaurant, the soup was served to us at the same time as the main course. Our request to take the main course back with us, otherwise it would get cold by the time we had eaten the soup, caused the waiter to be astonished. Onion roast was ok, sea bass and side dishes were too salted.
Full points! It was our subsequent highlight in Munich. We have never been served so tasty and friendly on any other evening. Huge portions, everything delicious, what more could you want. Can't understand the negative comments either. The service and the food fit us. We'd love to come back on our next trip to Munich!
The service is not very good, but on the street in the evening you can contemplate numerous mice who are very brazenly begging for the remains of your dinner. A trifle - but adds mood. As well as the mighty koshtan in the middle of the courtyard.
Good food, nice service, the ambience is typically Bavarian and the whole thing is very good and the desserts are very tasty.
It is a very old-established Bavarian restaurant with very good, tasty cuisine. The staff is mostly very friendly and trained staff. The ambience is cozy and Bavarian ... great, nice, cozy restaurant. Great value for money for Munich. Keep it up and stay with your best regards
Super tasty ? ? ? nice service. Gladly again ????
Just outside the Castle and in front of the 51 bus stop we had dinner in this typical restaurant. Good food but not as exciting as other restaurants tried. Average price. It does not immerse you in the classic Bavarian atmosphere.
The food tastes very good and the service is friendly. I think the restaurant is very nice. Thank you, we'll be back
Very very slow service. Waited half an hour and no one even came to ask for drinks.
Amazing food, traditional atmosphere. Even great options for vegetarians which is not very typical for traditional Bavarian places. Strong recommendation.
Good Bavarian food, traditional and friendly. Our waitress was very kind, patient and flexible with our orders and requests.
Service employees should behave accordingly! The employee is exemplary, but not the gentlemen. You don't make jokes about customers audibly for everyone present.
Nice beer garden not far from Neuschwanstein Castle. Staff is friendly and the food tastes good. The prices are absolutely okay.
Very nice service, normal prices and a very chic interior of every dining room goes in a different direction, one room in Bavarian design, the other in Eifel look, the other room in noble design and a great winter terrace, plus a beer garden. I can only recommend. thank you
Hello, we went to lunch with the family on Sunday. What can I say the service is friendly, the quality and size of the food is very good and the price is absolutely justified. I can only recommend the Metzgerwirt if you want to eat good German Bavarian cuisine and the roast pork can only be recommended ....
So we cannot understand the negative recessions The food was first class, the portions reasonable, and the wait staff were friendly and quick. Our waiter was super nice and liked to speak gredt in the Bavarian tavern. Conclusion we would like to come back soon and would recommend it to any reasonable person
Today we had made a trip to Nymphenburg Palace and on the way there, the Metzgerwirt restaurant caught our eye. Arrived there after a short walk, the staff welcomed them very friendly. Here you could choose the table yourself. My choice fell on a schnizzel Viennese style with fried potatoes and salad. You could choose between pork and turkey. The pork schnitzel was very finely prepared. The fried potatoes and the salad are also a real treat. Price and performance are consistent here. But the portion is manageable. Service was great. The only point that was annoying were the intrusive wasps. But the landlord can't do much there either.
Unfriendly! If you ask nicely whether you can use the toilet, the answer comes with rolling eyes and an unfriendly tone: yes, costs n euros! Sorry, but the sound makes the music! Then I'd rather wet my pants.
Small inn or restaurant. I like the decor because three different styles have been chosen in three rooms. Great. The service is very nice and courteous. The food is delicious and the prices are moderate. The toilets are clean. Conclusion: ?
Good.
Really love this place! Went there a couple of times and everything was perfect. The attention is very good and the food very tasteful. Typical German restaurant. We spend around €50 per couple bier and shared dessert included.
Weak menu but cute
Very good food
Great meals and good beer. Nice and calm atmosphere.
Horrible place. The waiter shouted at us while the three of us asked for two more english menus since he only threw us one at the start. He literally shouted "go back to your seat" three times while we talked to him. Not recommended if you do not speak german and have an asian face.
Nice and cozy Biergarten with an small playground for children that makes the service while the food comes;good traditional German dishes, enormous portions :)) for a fair price; truly recommended
Big portions and good service. Very cosy place out from the rain
Arrived in a group of 3 on Sunday afternoon and sat outside. Waited 20 minutes to be served, went inside to get a menu, waited another 10 mins, still nothing. No greeting, no hello, no service. Others left too without being served. Unfriendly place, avoid unless you like being invisible! ?
What Nice People. We arrived in a rainfall, looking for a dry place to eat. Though the table was reserved, we were allowed to sit and eat. The food was great, and in grand quantities. The service was great - thanks B Alla! We live in Stuttgart, but we plan on returning to the Metzgerwirt in the near future. Thanks!
Beautiful quiet place with good food and beer.
Cheeters restaurant. They say in Munchen 10 percent tip is enforced, and they can reduce it to 5 Euros. Which is not true. I have keep the evidence and going to report them to the Munchen consumer protection organisation. Hope there will be some good Germans will take some actions on this restaurant.
Loved it
Excellent variety of dishes. Friendly, jovial wait staff. Good choice for the Nymphenburg Palace area.
The Schnitzel was tough and had no taste...50% of it was breading. The drinks are unreasonably expensive. The venue is nice but the food was poor. I would not go there again
Beer garden nice and shady. Service attentive and friendly. Food came very fast. Ample portions, very tasty.
Great garden, wonderful beer and decent food.
Great place to sit and have a meal and drinks after walking around the palace near by. The roast pork with potato dumplings comes in a flavorful gravy. Goes great with an Augustine Lager
Nice and cozy place
Nicely decorated restaurant, good selection. The food has always tasted good. The staff is very friendly.
Food well done
Cozy restaurant with excellent mid-day dishes in direct proximity to the Nymphenburg castle. In the summer, they also have a very nice beer garden. I will certainly come back.
There are better bavarian restaurants that are also less expensive however the area itself is quite noble so you get what you pay for.
Excellent food and service and it is not expensive
We had the Käsespätzle and Kaiserschmarrn and finished it off with a piece of Black Forest cake. The Käsespätzle was a bit too creamy for my taste but the cake and Kaiserschmarrn were exquisite! The staff was quite friendly as well. A very nice experience on a cold winter's evening.
The food was delicious, the staff quite rude.
The mexican waiter was rude and unprofessional, and tricked us into ordering way more food than necessary. He also kept forgetting what we ordered. The food came really late, and while it was not bad, it was expensive for what it was.
Not as appealing as it use to be. We have been going to Metzgerwirt for more than a decade because it offered a wide range of very well prepared, generous size portioned dished in a casual environment. We tried out 3 different dishes from past experiences and were disappointed with the quality and quantity of what was served. The staff is young and splendid, but the old style cooking that made you think that someone special was cooking in the back is gone. In prior times, you could hear the cook hammering to tenderize and flatten the schnitzel before it was cooked. Prices are high and the food did not have the "home made" quality we remembered from before. A pleasant atmosphere, but not something to replace Oma's cooking.
Been there with my wife for lunch. Prices were high compared to level of service and quality of food. We ordered two soups, three drinks and the salad. Waitress forgot about one off our drinks, soups were ok and the salad... OMG. Some kind of cheap salami with cheese and onion. And best of it was that waitress informed us that this salad is supposed to be served with bread since is very sour. But the bread wasn’t delivered at all. Thank you for letting us know. :)
Really nice food and ambience. Especially with the new owner Serhat, this place rocks. Great restaurant if you wanna have drink and/or some nice food. Highly recommended.
